In 2026, KIND Family Gathering will be held across two festival cycles, back-to-back.
Each cycle is the full experience: same values, same depth, same magic, just held in two rounds.
Cycle I 25–29 July 2026 (5 days)
Pause & Reset 30–31 July 2026 -
If you're staying for both cycles, you're welcome on-site during these two days. No programming, no schedule - just space to rest, integrate, and recharge before Cycle II begins.

Why two cycles?
We can't grow our numbers without losing what makes us special - the intimacy, the protection of the land, and the safety of the children. This way more families can experience KIND while keeping each cycle intimate.

Programme
We’re putting together a spacious schedule, with some sessions on repeat so everyone gets a turn, parents can tag in and out, and everyone also gets some time to simply BE in these magical mountains.

Kind Family Gathering is where we can come together, to support each other in this, and to reaffirm why we do it in the first place!
This is where we collectively gather to break out of the isolated nuclear family bubble that so many of us are in. Come and walk beside others who share this incredible vision, families who walk the same path as you – to breathe, to feel, to learn.

To the child-free village members! We deeply value you, and want you with us.
Children flourish growing up surrounded by diverse, caring adults. Many of our core team members and community don't have children – they're drawn to co-creating a different way of living, together.
We have so much fun planned for all ages. If you’re child-free, and you believe that community living, conscious relating and parenting pave the way to a brighter future, then you will love it here!

What this is… and what it isn’t
Kind Family Gathering is the village that in our hearts we all know is possible.
This festival is a co-creation: multi-generational and all inclusive, and a space where we raise the children of the future together as a community.
Families and humans of all backgrounds, genders and configurations are welcome here. As a small festival, we’ll do our absolute best to support your needs. When filling out the form, please share as many details as you can: we'll carefully review them and do our best to accommodate your family within our capacity.
The festival is designed for spending quality time together: this is not a summer camp or daycare where you drop off the kids. We ask parents/caregivers to be present with their kids at all times.
Our KIND Angels are on-hand and can be booked for limitted babysitter support when you need time out. Under-6s need a responsible adult with them during activities.
This is not a party festival. The daily schedule ends by 10/11pm with silent hours after, so we all get a peaceful night's sleep under the stars and canopy of trees.
This is not a festival for getting messy. You’re welcome enjoy the occasional glass at our wine bar, or other calming plant allies – in mindful moderation.
Beyond the Nuclear Family: Expanded, Blended Families & Family Support Welcome!
Whether you’re a solo parent or a tight little unit, we strongly encourage you invite along a friend, family member, or supportive caregiver.
This way you can fully participate in cub needed sessions for yourself, rest and receive, while your children stay supported. It's also a beautiful way for that special friend, auntie, grandfather, or godparent to have some precious time and new memories with your kids. Win-win!

Getting There
If you’re flying, Porto airport is your best option.
The closest town is Termas de São Pedro do Sul which is around 20 min away by car from the festival area.
We recommend everyone attending the festival to come by car for a couple of good reasons:
- The Magic Mountains have many incredible hidden natural treasures that you can visit, but those will be way easier to reach if you have your own way of transportation;
- The festival site is remote, meaning public transportation isn’t the easiest, especially when leaving the festival.
Distance by car from main city airports:
1-hour drive from Porto, a 3-hour drive from Lisbon, and a 4-hour drive from Madrid.

Who Are We
We're Georgiana and George, and our daughter Rise. We couldn't find the kind of festival we actually wanted to go to as a family — so we created one.
At KIND Family Gathering we're a tiny team with a big dream working behind the scenes. We are learning as we go, and deeply committed to keeping the gathering intimate, authentic, and beautifully child-centred.
