Join The KIND Crew

For Deeper Belonging, Care & Shared Purpose

KIND Family Gathering is brought to life by people who feel a genuine pull towards community, children, and a more connected way of living.

Becoming a part of the KIND Crew deeply plugs you in to the village. This is where incredible relationships are formed; whilst working hard, having some serious fun along the way!

What binds us as a crew? Collaboration, presence, and shared dream. It’s that magical heart activation of being in service of something meaningful, something bigger than the often solitary ways we live and work.

Much of the crew returns year after year, which is testament to how great of an experience it is 😊  We’d love for you to join us! Read on to find out the ways in which you can be a part of the vision building.

🌍 Who Feels at Home Here

The KIND Crew is made up of all the village members: parents, caregivers, and child-free adults who feel aligned with conscious community, and with child-first spaces.

If you have no kids of your own and are thinking of coming to the festival solo, this is such a heart-warming way of being involved. Here you’ll form deep bonds, feel useful, and that you’re a part of shaping a future generation in the way humanity really needs.

This village is built on deep listening, respect, clear communication, and a whole lot of love. Within our crew, we have a beautiful work culture that we’re truly proud of. We welcome humans of all backgrounds, energies and capacities, and each person’s presence brings something.

KIND Guardians

Become a Guardian of the KIND Village

Work with us to build up or break down the festival (or both), receive 50% off your ticket, and enjoy totally free time with your family during the gathering.

Guardians are the families who help hold the festival before and after the cycles, supporting build, pause, and break phases so that the village can thrive.

Apply with your partner/co-parent/caregiver to tag in and out of childcare around your shifts (we’ll schedule your shifts accordingly) and so that you can both be fully present and free during the festival itself.

How it works:

When you work:

You choose one of these options:

  • Build + Pause (July 20-31) - includes Cycle I festival
  • Pause + Break (July 30 - Aug 9) - includes Cycle II festival
  • Build + Pause + Break (July 20 - Aug 9) - includes both festival cycles

During the actual festival days (Cycle I: July 25-29, Cycle II: Aug 1-5), you're completely free.

What you do: Physical work (building, DIY), art and creation, kitchen, or production office, depending on your skills.

How shifts work: Both adults in your family work Guardian shifts. We schedule them so you can tag in and out of childcare around each other.

Solo parent? Just note it on your application and we'll find childcare support for when you're working.

What you pay:

Option 1: One Festival Cycle (Build + Pause OR Pause + Break)

  • 200€ per Guardian adult
  • One free child ticket per Guardian adult

Full price for comparison: 400€ adult + 90€ to 250€ child

Option 2: Both Festival Cycles (Build + Pause + Break)

  • 350€ per Guardian adult
  • One free child ticket per Guardian adult

Full price for comparison: 700€ adult + 150€ to 400€ child

KIND Crew & Guardians FAQ

Everything you need to know about joining us as a KIND Gem or Guardian at the 2026 gathering.

KIND Gem

Work shifts during the festival in exchange for a free ticket. Fully part of the programme.

Guardian

Work build/pause/break phases to receive 50% off your ticket. No work during festival days.

Common Questions

1. What's the real difference between a Gem and a Guardian - and how do I know which one is right for me?

Work shifts during the festival in exchange for a free ticket. Fully part of the programme.

Can you arrive a few days early and/or stay a few days after?

Want to be completely free during the festival itself to just immerse, play and be present? Guardian is for you.

Can only join for the festival itself?

Want to contribute your energy through shifts woven into your festival days, and give your experience more meaning and more connection? Gem is for you.

2. As a Guardian, how much will we actually save - and what exactly do we pay?

As a Guardian, you pay 50% off your own adult ticket, and your child comes free (one free child ticket per Guardian adult).

So for example: a family of 4 (2 adults + 2 kids) coming for one cycle would normally pay 800€+ in adult tickets alone. As Guardians, they pay 400€ total for both adults - and both children come free on top of that.

For KIND Gems: your ticket is completely free. Once your place is confirmed, we ask for a refundable 100€ commitment deposit — returned in full after the festival once all your shifts are completed.

3. As a Guardian, do both adults really have to work - and who looks after the kids?

Yes - and this is actually what makes Guardian work so well for families.

Both adults are scheduled for shifts, but they're staggered so you tag in and out of childcare around each other. One parent works, the other is with the kids. Then you swap. It's designed to feel manageable, not heavy.

And remember - all of this happens during the build, pause, or break phases. Not during festival days. Once the gathering begins, your whole family is completely off duty.

4. As a Gem, will I actually get to enjoy the festival?

Yes, absolutely! This is one of the questions people ask most, and the answer is a clear yes.

Gem shifts are 4 hours per day during the festival. The rest of your day is yours to be in the programme, in nature, in community. And the work itself (being in the kitchen, running the café, setting up a beautiful space) is part of the experience. It gives your time here more meaning, not less.

Exact shift structures are shared once your role is confirmed. We schedule Gems thoughtfully, with rest and festival time protected.

Many Gems say the crew experience (the behind-the-scenes bonds) ends up being the highlight of their whole gathering.

5. What kind of work is involved? Do I need specific skills or experience?

No specific experience needed. We place people based on what feels aligned — your energy, your strengths, what you enjoy. The areas available are:

🛠 Manual — site build, DIY, lifting, pack-down

🍲 Kitchen — food prep, cooking, washing up, serving

🎨 Art & Installations — decorating spaces, painting signs, creative work

📋 Admin / Operations — box office, check-ins, info point

☕ KIND Café + Shop — serving cacao, snacks, drinks, running the shop

🌈 KIND Angels — babysitting and family support

🎛 Tech, Light & Sound — AV setup and maintenance

The more you share about yourself in your application - what you love, how you like to contribute, your energy levels - the better we can match you to something that feels good.

6. I don't have children - can I still join the KIND Crew?

Absolutely. The KIND Crew is made up of parents, caregivers, and child-free adults, all equally welcome.

If you have no kids of your own and are thinking of coming to the festival solo, this is such a heart-warming way of being involved. Here you'll form deep bonds, feel useful, and that you're a part of shaping a future generation in the way humanity really needs.

Children flourish when surrounded by diverse, caring adults of all kinds. Many of our most beloved crew members don't have kids of their own, and they keep coming back year after year.

Both Guardian and Gem paths are open to you. Guardian is designed with families in mind (the childcare tag-in system), but if you can arrive early or stay late and want to be free during the festival, it could work for you too.

7. Does it matter which cycle I apply for? What's the difference between Cycle I and Cycle II?

No, it doesn't matter which cycle you choose. Both have the full programme and the complete KIND experience. Each cycle is whole and complete on its own.

Cycle I: July 25-29
Cycle II: August 1-5
Pause between cycles: July 30 - August 1 (site reset; food and facilities available if staying for both)

The choice really comes down to your calendar. Which dates work for you? How long can you stay?

For Guardians: You choose Build + Pause (includes Cycle I), Pause + Break (includes Cycle II), or Build + Pause + Break (both cycles).

For Gems: Come for one or both cycles. Indicate your availability on the application form, and we'll place you accordingly.

If you'd love to stay for both cycles, you're very welcome to. It's a truly immersive way to experience the gathering.

What happens after I apply? Is my place guaranteed?

Submitting your application doesn't guarantee a place - both Gem and Guardian roles are limited, and we read every form with real care before confirming. Guardian places in particular fill up, so it's worth applying early.

Once we've reviewed your application, we'll be in touch. If you're offered a place:

Gems - we'll ask you to pay the 100€ refundable deposit to secure your spot. It's returned in full after the festival once your shifts are complete.

Guardians - we'll share shift scheduling details and the subsidised payment process.

Exact shift structures are shared once placements are confirmed. You won't be left guessing far in advance - we schedule thoughtfully, and everything will be communicated clearly.

We really do read every application with care. The more you share about who you are and what you bring, the easier it is for us to place you somewhere that feels nourishing for everyone. 💛
