I met Hayat and Sameh a few months ago.

When I met them, they were desperately needing to be relocated from Gaza City which was imminently about to be bombed. Their family of 10 had given up and were surrendering to death.

Hayat is 20 years old. She was studying to be a doctor before her life was torn apart 2 years ago.

Now she is the sole carer for her two elderly parents and 7 younger brothers and sisters.

Although the ceasefire is supposedly on in Gaza, living conditions are still desperate. Winter is approaching with few warm clothes, no proper shelter, no toilets.
